Golden Designs Inc. is the California manufacturer behind both the Golden Designs and Dynamic sauna lines, building infrared cabins since 2008. The Golden Designs label is the premium side of that range: near-zero EMF heating, salt-bar and chromotherapy options, traditional steam models, and outdoor-rated cabins the Dynamic line does not cover.
If you are comparing the two, the difference is the heater package, the interior trim and whether the cabin is built to go outside. The construction and the wood are from the same shop.
When sauna prices look arbitrary, it is usually one of these four things driving the gap.
The premium heater option in the range. EMF is quoted at different distances by different manufacturers, so it is the specification least comparable across listings — ask for the figure for the specific cabin rather than trusting a badge.
The higher models add a Himalayan salt bar and interior colour lighting. Worth the money if the cabin is part of a recovery or wellness space where the room itself matters, not just the heat.
Golden Designs also builds traditional saunas, which need a separate heater, a different electrical supply and a room that can take the moisture. That is a construction decision, not an accessory.
Part of the range is built for outdoor installation with weather-rated construction. That is the option if the cabin is going on a deck or a patio rather than into a basement.

Infrared heats the body directly and comes up to temperature in minutes; traditional steam heats the room and needs a proper enclosure, drainage and ventilation.
